We have adapted our culture to be very remote-friendly and all our positions can be performed 100% remotely. Our employees live in various areas of the country with no expectation for relocation. We keep in touch through Slack and every meeting has a virtual option on Google Meet.
Our headquarters is in Baltimore, MD and we have office space in San Diego, CA. Many of our employees who live around these areas choose to work a hybrid schedule. On the days in which many people are in the office, ISE treats everyone to lunch from a variety of local eateries.
Working from an office provides a structured routine when needed, allows for face-to-face communication and collaboration to facilitate more efficient problem-solving. And the kitchen is always stocked.
Whether our employees are working remotely, on a hybrid schedule, or from the office, everyone enjoys a budget for travel and accommodations to work in the Baltimore or San Diego offices for however long the budget allows. This is a unique perk that not many other companies offer.
Having a space to connect with coworkers is a priority at ISE, especially in the new normal of remote work. We plan in-person events once every quarter, including goal-setting retreats, happy hours, pool parties, and picnics. We cover travel and accommodation for our employees who live far from the corporate office. We even have a house within walking distance of the office where our employees can stay.
In between planned in-person activities, we connect virtually, and not just for serious work discussions. A few times a week during lunch time, our employees have a chance to host what we refer to as a “Fire Talk.” These are fun, entertaining, and passionate presentations about anything from work-related to non-work-related topics. We also host virtual game nights and happy hours.
